Ranran's sensational 2023 continues

MANY-TIME Beach Volleyball Republic on Tour champion Ranran Abdilla made history in the Spikers' Turf, scoring a league record 47 points in Air Force's 35-37, 25-23, 18-25, 25-21, 12-15 loss to EcoOil-DLSU Sunday night at the Paco Arena.

Abdilla was sensational, drilling in 40-of-76 attacks, fired six service aces and contributed a block that went along with five digs in a thrilling two-hour 36-minute Invitational Conference contest.

His indoor performance earned praises from the volleyball community, proving that the DLSU-Dasmariñas product is one of the finest in the sport.

The Spikers' Turf scoring outburst provided more glitter to Abdilla's banner 2023.

The 6-foot-4 Abdilla, who has six BVR on Tour titles on his belt, has won the Candon City and Sipalay City leg championships last June with Rancel Varga.

In the 32nd Phnom Penh Southeast Asian Games last May, Abdilla went home with a bronze medal, the country's lone volleyball medal, together with Jaron Requinton, James Buytrago and Jude Garcia.
