BY ruling the Candon City leg with Rancel Varga over the weekend, Ranran Abdilla became one of the most successful athletes in the Beach Volleyball Republic on Tour with five titles.
What made Ranran achieve this?
"Dedication, sipag saka yung love ko sa volleyball siguro kaya hanggang ngayon active pa din and kailangan disiplina talaga para tumagal pa ang playing career ko," said Ranran.
It has been four years since Ranran became a BVR champion, just weeks after winning a bronze medal for the Philippines in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.
Blessings just kept on coming for Ranran.
After winning four BVR on Tour golds with long-time partner Jessie Lopez spanning from 2018 to 2019, Ranran, who was part of the Philippine men's team which won the historic silver in the 30th SEA Games, has paired this time with Rancel.
Their partnership clicked, as Ranran and Rancel, carrying the colors of Harbor Pilot, went 5-0 in Candon City including a dominant 21-13, 21-10 romp of NU's Pol Salvador and Alex Iraya in the Finals.
Ranran has also praises for Rancel, the UST standout who won his third BVR on Tour crown.
Expect Ranran to go all-out as he tries to win another BVR on Tour leg championship in Sipalay City this weekend.
